September 2024
I prayed to be busy. I don't regret this prayer - I feel like I am thriving - but I'm learning that I'm an introvert. By calling myself an introvert, I don't want you to think that I love staying in and sitting on the couch, and only that. No, while I relish this experience, my ability to say "YES, AND.." ranks high among the favorable character traits I see in myself. Being with my friends is something that brings me joy. My introvertism is that I get so drained. I'm starting October rather dead. The good news is that this intense fatigue probably caused me to work on this website.
In September, I explored more of Thailand, including a trip to Kanchanaburi with a friend who's moving away soon. We stayed at a river hotel directly next to a Mon Village.
Manila, Philippines is gloriously different and I got to see it with my own eyes. Admittedly, I know almost nothing about the Philippines, and learning about Rizal and the work that the Philippines put into their independence is awe-inspiring. Due to time constraints, I couldn't see more than Manila. Don't worry! I know this is the number one rule of what not to do but I saw so many museums, I think that the next time I visit I will be able to appreciate everything so much more due to my increased awareness of just some of their history.

- I retried Zumba this month ( 2015 is the last time I did Zumba). The music is booty-poppin and seems to be targeting millennials: very pop-centric! I will start incorporating this workout weekly into my routine because it rejuvenates me.
